Hi,
Stumbled across your blg whilesearchng for CITPM. I know it’s a little late but congrats for clearing the exam.
I am thinking of taking the exam in December and need some advice.
Can I study on my own or should I take the NUS course? How easy/difficult is the exam? Are sample papers available anywhere?
Also, it would be great if you could tell me how you prepared for the exam and how much time you spent in preparation?
Hi Rahul. I suppose with the relevant materials, you could do some self study. Do you have any friends of colleagues with the materials ? Basically, attempting past year questions do help (that is if you have friends from the course who can pass you the training materials and past year papers). Typically, like all local exams, there is a trend to the types of questions that will come out and if you spot it right, it shouldn’t be a big problem. The killer is usually the paper 2 (long answers), which requires lotsa writing. Hope that helps.
Hi… i did a google on CITPM and came across your page. I was reading the SCS website on CITPM but they did not really say much about the study materials. Can I ask if the materials are those from NUS CITPM course? Do you know of other channels where I could get materials and probably self study? Thanks a million and CONGRATULATONS. =)
Hi Jac. The NUS materials are indeed those needed for CITPM. You will need to practice on the past year papers provided. No easy way out. Just need to understand the concepts and practice. Should be able to pull through. Good Luck !!
Hi shawnster
May I know whether is it neccessary that I need to go through the course either by ISS or SCS before I can take the CITPM?
Currently, I would consider myself still new in project management but then I would still like to give it a try in the exam by self studying.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Maria. I guess the courses are for hints, exam tips and reading materials. If you have friends who had attended the courses, the materials shouldn’t be a problem. So if you do not need any of the above, I suppose self study is still possible, provided they do allow only exam taking without going through the course. Hope this little information helps.
